October 10: Had an ultrasound and got to see Baby D for the first time!
November 3: We had our first post-finding out we’re pregnant appointment with
the doctor. I didn’t know what they were going to do in there, so I didn’t let
John come back. They didn’t do anything I wouldn’t want him to see though and I
got to hear Baby D's heartbeat again and hear the baby kick. It was seriously the coolest
thing I’ve ever heard in my life.
November 5-12: We had a business trip out to Denver and John came, too. We
had a great time but I was exhausted, and the lack of oxygen up there nearly
suffocated me, and I’m sure, Baby D, too. I was worried the whole time we were
there but it was all for naught, when we got home we heard the baby's little heartbeat
on the monitor just fine.
November 18: Finally out of the first trimester. I feel SO much better.
Noticeably better.
November 23: Thanksgiving!! I ate until I couldn't eat anymore and it was
WONDERFUL.
December 1: Four week doctor's appointment. Everything was fine (John came
back with me this time) and we scheduled the next appointment for December 29th,
but he said he'd schedule the BIG ultrasound for TWO WEEKS after that!! Argh!!!
I'm so eager to know if Baby D is a he or a she. We don't feel right referring to
the baby as "it" but as soon as we say "oh, he's fine" I get "oh, so it's a BOY?" and
that gets old, too.
December 12: So I found this thing online where you can tell if it's a boy or a girl by
peeing on some draino crystals and if it turns green it's a girl, or brown it's a boy. It's not very reliable but it's all I've got and just for fun.
Debbi found me some Draino crystals, and the Draino test says GIRL. We'll see.
December 19: Happy 4 months, little one!
January 8: You're a BOY! We're so excited!
Yes, yes, I know I skipped a ton. This is just random stuff now though...
Our son is a superhero :)

Dash's 2 month checkup. He weighed 15lbs 10oz, measured 25 inches long and his head circumference was 15.5 inches. He did really well with his shots, too.
